Terms for the two kinds of recurring purchase on this site: monthly advisory retainers, and knowledge subscriptions. They differ, and the section for the one you are buying is the one that applies.
What these cover
A retainer is a monthly commitment of advisory capacity: time, availability and standing involvement. A knowledge subscription is licensed access to a library of documents and its updates. They are billed the same way and are otherwise different products.
You are asked to accept these terms during checkout, before the subscription is created. The version accepted is recorded against the purchase; the current version is 2026-08-20.
Billing and renewal
Subscriptions bill monthly in advance, on the date of the first payment, and renew automatically until canceled. Payment is taken from the method held on file.
If a payment fails, we retry it and let you know. Access may be suspended while a payment is outstanding.
Prices may change with notice before a renewal. A price already billed for a period does not change during that period.
Retainers
A retainer buys a defined monthly allocation of advisory capacity and the availability described on that retainer’s page. What is included, how unused time is treated, and how out-of-allocation work is handled are set out there.
The retainer may be canceled before the next billing date. No refund applies to the current billing period or to completed work.
Applies to: Executive Advisory Retainer.
The retainer may be canceled before the next billing date. Cancellation stops future billing but does not refund the current billing period or previously completed work.
Applies to: Strategic Advisory Retainer.
Knowledge subscriptions: license
A limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license granted for the term of the subscription, for the client's internal use. Access is limited to the number of users included in the plan purchased, and individual credentials may not be shared outside those authorized users. Editable materials may be adapted for the client organization's internal use where the product allows it; intellectual property in the original RAVENTRYX materials remains with RAVENTRYX LLC. Resale, sublicensing, publication, redistribution, or making the materials available to third parties as standalone products is prohibited. The subscription includes access to updates and new versions of the resources in the plan for the term of the subscription, as available for that tier.
Knowledge subscriptions: cancellation and what survives
The subscription renewal may be canceled before the next billing date. Cancellation stops future billing and does not normally refund a period already billed, except where applicable law requires it or where there has been a billing error. Access to the library and its updates ends at the close of the period already paid for. Materials lawfully downloaded before then may continue to be used internally under the license that applied to them, but no new materials, updates, or subscriber-only services are provided after that point.
Refunds
Canceling stops future billing. It does not, as a rule, refund a period already billed. The Refund & Cancellation Policy sets out the exceptions and how to ask.
Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms. A revision carries a new version identifier, and the version you accepted at purchase is the one recorded against your subscription. Material changes are notified before they take effect for an existing subscriber.
